What is a Health Coach and Why Do You Need One?



We are living in a time of information overload! Information is abundant, cheap and free. Thanks to Google, we have so much information available at our fingertips about how to “eat healthy,” “lose weight” and “insert your health goal here.” However, you may also find that all this information can get very confusing. For every article you find saying that carbs are the devil, you can find an equal number of articles stating the opposite. How are you supposed to know what to believe? Maybe you are thinking that this nutrition stuff is pretty simple: eat more kale, drink less soda. You already know WHAT to do, you just haven’t done it yet. Let me ask you something, and really challenge you for a second. You have all this information, yes? You have tried a bunch of diets/pills/teas in the past, yes? Yet, for some reason, either the results don’t last or they haven’t been enough, yes?

Think about your favorite sports team, or maybe go back to the time you played sports as a kid, why did you need a coach? My specialty is in human transformation. Why am I an expert on this? It has nothing to do with my credentials. It is because I have transformed myself. It is because I can relate on how hard it is to break a habit. It is because for five years I also worked in a fast-paced, stressful environment where I couldn’t get up for hours. I would eat the junk that was laying around the office. I would drink countless numbers of coffees to just try to make it through the day. I know what it is like to have no energy after staying out late entertaining clients or being exhausted from traveling. I know what it is like to crave sugar and salt and to over-indulge. I know what is like to have your hormones get completely out of whack. I know what is like to gain a lot of weight after binge-eating your emotions or stress and then go to major extremes to try to lose it. I know what it’s like to break out because your skin is just so mad at how you’ve treated your body. I know what it’s like to get really sick. I know what it’s like to feel out of control. I know what its like to feel foggy, unconfident, anxious and depressed. Most importantly, I know that if I could transform myself, YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY DO IT TOO. The secret to success is realizing that the answers you are looking for on how to achieve your goals are NOT on the internet. They are not in a magic pill or tea that your favorite influencer is advertising. They are not in following the same diet that helped your friend lose 10 pounds.
